Syncare is a provider-patient management platform designed for a healthcare startup
Syncare
I redesigned a provider-patient management screen for a healthcare startup. Tools used: Figma/FigJam. Februrary 2025
The goal of this flow was simple: replace guesswork with guaranteed efficiency,
ensuring providers always know exactly where to go and what to do next to serve their patient.
Early sketches to improve information hierarchy
DEFINE

IDEATE
DESIGN
I refined the hierarchy and eliminated color confusion-
The only colors used are:
- Green to emphasize when a user has joined the Zoom meeting
- The purple stroke indicate the active state.
Reducing Cognitive Load- Patient overview card

• Less clutter, more action – Got rid of extra buttons so providers can do everything
in one place without the hassle.
• All-in-one screen - Write, edit, and check notes while seeing patient history
no need to jump between screens!
• I added an indication of who wrote the note and when.
Speed Documentation

• Looks way cleaner - Better spacing, easier to read, and not overwhelming.
• Placed the patient's name at the top to improve clarity and prevent confusion
• Buttons make sense now - Grouped all actions together so it’s not all over the place.
• Status is clear - You can actually see if the patient is ready without digging through text.
Clarity in a glance

The tools designed to help healthcare providers are slowing them down.
Existing patient management interfaces are cluttered and inefficient, turning back-to-back appointments
into a high-stakes race where administrative tasks steal the focus required for effective, empathetic care.
HUEURISTIC EVALUATION
The design was cluttered and hard to use, which made providers less efficient.
Because I had limited access to users for this design challenge, I used a heuristic evaluation
and design best practices to identify usability issues.
